RAMEN IS ORIGINALLY FROM CHINA
Ramen is a variation of a Chinese wheat noodles brought over through Chinese immigrants. The word itself “Ramen” comes from the Chinese one “Lamin”.
SOUTH KOREA EATS THE MOST RAMEN
Interestingly, South Korea consumes the most ramen out of every country. They’ve produced 590,000 tons of ramen in 2013 alone.
RAMEN WAS THE FIRST NOODLES EATEN IN SPACE
Japanese Astronaut Soichi Noguchi brought up the famous Instant Nissin noodles to space to enjoy the finest meal among the stars.
